Gun Restored, Arrives in Mobile

A gun from the CSS Alabama has arrived in Mobile, the port the Alabama might have eventually sailed into if the South had won the war. As it was, the English-built ship never made port in the States, North or South!

The gun was restored at the same lab that worked on the The Hunley.

The Museum of Mobile already had a reproduction on display (right photo), but we know they're happy to have the actual weapon in house.
